WELDING AND OTHER RELATED PROCESSES REQUIRE PROTECTIVE CLOTHING

The EN ISO 11611 standard establishes the minimal fundamental security criteria as well as testing procedures for protective garments and processes with comparable hazards.

This type of protective gear is designed to shield the user from splashes (tiny molten metal splashes), brief flame contact time, radiating heat from an electric arc used for welding, and other similar procedures.

It also reduces the risk of electric shock from a short circuit (accidental, brief contact with electrical wires at voltages of up to 100 V).

Note! Sweat, dirt, and other impurities may reduce the expected degree of protection against inadvertent, short contact with live electrical wires at this voltage.

Here’s a list of sectors where you will see EN ISO 11611 is applied

Gas Industry – Utilities & Subcontractors – Automotive – Welding – Shipbuilding – Railways – Industrial Laundries – Oil Platforms - Chemical Industry
